A string of inexplicable accidents has plagued the Dock Ward for several days, accompanied by a rash of bad luck and several gruesome deaths. When the owner of a local curio shop asks for help in solving a mystery, the characters discover a disturbing connection between their patron and the neighborhood’s recent bout of misfortune. A malevolent power has cast its gaze over the City of Splendors, and time is running out to prevent the release of a catastrophic curse.

This adventure for 3rd-level characters can be played as a standalone event, or as part of the Curseweaver Adventure Series. This product also includes: a new divine domain (Misfortune), new spells, new cursed magic items, a new monster, and a brief overview of Waterdeep in the Haunted Realms.

This is the fourth product in the Haunted Realms campaign setting—a post-magipocalyptic merging of Ravenloft with the Forgotten Realms. Other products in this line currently include:

• The Stitched: A Player Character Race (/product/193430/The-Stitched)

• The Revenant: A Player Character Race (/product/194433/Revenant-The-Vengeful-Dead)

• Mad Scientist: The Reanimator: A Player Character Class (/product/197065/Mad-Scientist-The-Reanimator)

• The Magic of Books is a product for adding a touch of character to books found as treasure, spellbooks, and the like.

• For new monster powers and abilities, take a look at The Monster's Arsenal.

I ran this (with slight tweaks) as a sidequest for my waterdeep dragon heist campaign. The characters had just hit level 3 and were about to start chapter 3 but we had a guest player for 2 weeks coming in so I decided to throw in a sidequest. The group loved it and it was very easy and fun to run! Definitely recommend as a 1 shot or a sidequest for your campaign!

I'm also wondering when more of the Haunted Realms will get published.

I really loved playing the old curio shop with my group. When will the next part of the curseweaver adventure series come out? I can't wait to play again and we're really hooked to this story now.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad to hear your group enjoyed the adventure so far.

Work on the second adventure is underway, and I plan on releasing it as soon as possible. Thanks again!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
