All monsters from the WotC products and a couple of 3-rd party ones are in one interactive table, that provides filtering and sorting capabilities, and runs on any modern web browser with JavaScript support (no web connection required).

Including a total of more than 2100 monsters from:
    * Monster Manual
    * Volo's Guide to Monsters
    * Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes
    * Lost Mine of Phandelver
    * Tyranny of Dragons (Hoard of the Dragon Queen and The Rise of Tiamat)

This is a great product, use it for prepping all my games! I know it's a lot of work, any chance Creature Codex (Kobold Press) or Tome of Horrors (Frog God Games) being added?

Thanks, I'm glad it's useful for you.
Regarding these 3rd party books, I'll look into it. Though maybe not in the next update.

Hello again! Is it possible to incorporate a more advanced search function? Say you wanted to organize by level, AND environment AND type...etc, like Excel?

But you can do it already: filters stack with each other.

I am wondering how I can add entries from collections not currently included?

There isn't a simple way to do it, only manually coding it all in.
If you mean the recent WotC releases, I plan to add these early next year (probably January).

I love this product. I use it quite a lot. My only request would be to have the Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica and the Waterdeep modules added but I'm sure that you're working on it. Really, this is a fantastic product. I reccomend it to every DM I know.

v2.5 has a bug that wasn't present in v2.4.

It won't sort or correctly restrict monsters by CR (XP) - the sort button does nothing while the changing the restriction is done seemingly at random. Tested on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.

The only suggestion I have is taking the ones from the Plane Shift ones, just in case someone wants to have some fun with their party. Otherwise, this looks great!

So I have a question I put this on my tablet and it does not recognize when i change variables in the drop down. I can type in a name in the search bar and it works. Im wondering if there is a fix for this or its just not for tablet use.

It totally depends on the web browser used and if it have javascript support. I have tested it successfully under Firefox and Chrome browsers at least.

Holy cow, this is an invaluable tool for me. I love it. I'd love it even more if it had an integrated Encounter Generator! But this is still great for looking up what may be nearby for my party members, and makes coming up with something new to fight that much easier.

I was curious, would you be adding Tome of Beasts to this list as well? It is a great get and adds some many great ideas. If not, thats fine, but thank you for this, i was going to make one myself, but this helps out so much.

Well, I actually thought of it, but decided to limit it to the official books only, for consistency. Plus, "by environment" info table is absent from the ToB.

There's a by terrain index for ToB available from Kobold Press. Most of it matches up except for Badlands. I put the database entries for ToB here: http://nix.synchro.net:7070/tmp/TomeOfBeasts.txt

I've added them to my copy. There's a URL in a later comment for the data, but you need to update the filterAll() function in db.js as well, and add a checkbox and badlands environment to index.html which is a bit tricky.

Is there a way to make this work on an iPad? I tried saving it to my Dropbox, but it doesn't show the monsters when the file is examined, presumably since it doesn't know how to pull the data from the sources. I suspect that the answer is 'not unless it's turned into an app', but I'm just hoping to be able to use it on the fly at the table, if required, and I don't use my laptop during games! Thanks!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
