Hey boss, I just spent an unholy amount of time looking for this. My search was confounded because the first thing I did was narrow my results down to CoS/Ravenloft.. and this isn't listed in that category. :/

Also.. I would LOVE to have this in FoundryVTT. :D

Love this supplement and I've been using it for a couple of years now, not just for Curse of Strahd.

Do you know if it would be possible to have these added to 5e-Tools? I run through Foundry VTT and it would be amazing to have them importable. I'm not sure what's involved with this.

OMG thank you... i've been running a 5e campaign in Ravenloft and have been having the hardest time finding converted monsters.. most recently a search for desert zombies for Touch of Death left me high and dry until i found your work.. thank you so much.
I did notice Madmen and Lost Ones (not Lost Souls from Nightmare Lands) were missing from your work and originally appeared in the 2e monstrous compendiums. Any possibility they will be added in the future?

I think your products would do reasonably well on FG, as well as get them new exposure. Please contact myself or Grim Press to discuss it. It is not difficult and requires (almost) no effort on your part. My email is razzed25@gmail.com.

I enjoy good bestiaries and I would rate yours as WELL above average!

Was this ever followed up on by the author? I would purchase this again as a FG download if possible. I haven't used the supplement even tho I purchased it years ago because I don't have the energy to convert it.

My apologies for the late reply. I didn't have the time or resources to convert all the monsters, unfortunately.

A print on demand of this book would be amazing. Any chance of that?

Wizards of the Coast/DTRPG decide which products will be available as POD on the DMG. However, I've requested for these books to be available as POD.

This is really awesome work and perfect for spicing up encounters! Letting the druid summon a blood elemental instead of a water elemental is so much fun (for me) :D well done!

Hi. I'm running a campaign in a Ravenloft style setting with some very competent players currently around 13th level. One of the problems I'm having is making challenging enough encounters. Does this book have many creatures from CR 13 upwards? Thanks!

I don't know if there's a better way to send this kind of feedback, but I don't think there's a "contact the author" button or anything anywhere.

Anyway - The Coin Golem makes three greatsword attacks - except it's only valid option is Slam.

I have designed and converted the monsters to the best of my ability, but I can't guarantee that they are perfectly balanced for two reasons: Challenge ratings in 5e are only a guideline and influenced by many factors such as party composition. Furthermore, the book contains 300+ monsters, and I do not have the resources to playtest every single one extensively.

I am about to use a bit of this bestiary in my resurrected 2e material campaign, so I'll be happy to report back. At first glance, the monsters I am pulling out of this bestiary look to be on-point in their conversions.

Lennart - any chance of adding some of the additional beasts (namely the two types of "Brothers" [ancient dead] from *Neither Man Nor Beast*?). I appreciate the Soul Kraken and Broken Ones being converted though!

Great job. One Question occured to me. You mention a Wraith king in the creature by CR list, but I can't seem to find it. Did I miss it?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
