This product really should be four sourcebooks, not one.

OK then, let's get started.

Have you tried using the Ed Greenwood 4rth and 5th edition novels, or Erin Evans "Fire in the Blood" fifth edition novels to add content?

Hello Matt,

I have used Ed's novels set in Cormyr during the 4E era of the Realms extensively. I've catalogued a great deal of Realmslore specific to Cormyr. Ed did a great job helping to flesh out Cormyr in the 4E era through his novels.

I have not gotten around to cataloging the Realmslore in Erin's Realms books set in Cormyr, but I plan to as time permits.

After that's done, I plan to take another pass at my book to see where Erin's material will fit in.

Version 1.1 has been uploaded.

See the main entry above for version release notes.

You'll be happy to note that the new sub-map has been included in this update.

I am happy to announce that the first sub-map for Cormyr has been completed!

The map was completed by Terrlen Darkseeker (whose products may be found here on the DMs Guild), and I must say this first map is b-e-a-utiful! It covers approximately 13,000 square miles of territory, and is centered on the King's Forest. The map includes Suzail to the south, and Eveningstar to the north. I have also received a map with a hex overlay, for computing travel distances per the information in the Dungeon Master's Guide.

Because the map was completed well ahead of schedule, I am considering the publication of an update to this sourcebook ahead of the planned November 1st update.

Stay tuned!

After conversing with my peers on the DMs Guild and in the wider Realms community, I have decided to increase the price point for this sourcebook to $6.99.

Work continues on revisions and content generation for the next update to this sourcebook. The update is tentatively scheduled for November 1.

I have tapped a cartographer and a class designer to help me in creating detailed maps of Cormyr, and new character class options specific to Cormyr. Both individuals have their own products here on the DMs Guild.

The first new map should be included in the next update to this sourcebook. The cover art should be done by then as well.

Onward and upward!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
