I ran this module.

Ratings:
-- Target Level: I think this module is 3rd level.
-- Story: 5/5.
-- Pacing: 5/5.
-- Combat Difficulty: 4/5.

Introduction: Band of gypsies. Love sick young man, missing young woman. More stuff I can't mention for concern of spoilers. Great though.

Exploration: Decent amount.

Combat: The first combat is great! I had the party scared because they didn't know [redacted - something that ultimately makes it less lethal].

Roleplaying Opportunities: A great deal at the start.

Overall: Great module. I would be willing to run it, but only as part of a larger effort to do *all* of season 4 since leaving Barovia is expensive.

Just look at the Cover, There are only three people who worked on the module. Ron Lundeen wrote it Claire Hofmann and Travis Woodall, did Editing and Development. Then go back and look at the credits of the old Living Forgotten Realms modules. Three to five people worked on the writing and editing, then another 8 -12 people got listed as "playtesters." The more people who look at it, the less likely these careless mistakes will slip through. I looked at the credits of one of the Fantasy Flight Star Wars adventures recently, and it was clear over 20 people worked on it! Their production value and attention to detail is outstanding. WOTC just doesn't care anymore. That was the nice thing about Dungeon and Dragon magazines. They received lots of materials from the community, but before it got published it would go through multiple rounds of editing before a polished adventure or article was published. Now we get this hodge podge of half baked stuff, some is really good, some really bad, and most...See more

"Oh neat, there's an owlbear in the monster section?" Flips through the rest of the module... "Hm, where am I supposed to put this guy?"

My understanding was that DMs Guild (paying for adventures) meant that we could expect better proofreading, or at the very least updates with fixes. Am I mistaken on this?

This module has been out for almost 3 months. When can we expect Part 3 to be fixed to either remove references to an encounter with wolves or, better yet, include the missing information?

Why would they? By the time it's released they're already working on next season, plus they already have your $2.99 in their pocket, why would they bother going back and correcting errors? Unfortunately, reviews of these events and how poorly they are written are not coming out soon enough so that people don't purchase them. As much as people enjoy AL, the events aren't going to get any better until gamers start protesting with their pocketbook.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
