This tome represents the work of Tenth Reader Benvolio, the newest inductee into Candlekeep’s monks, The Avowed. Benvolio has been tasked with the lifelong duty of chronicling every name for every person or place known throughout the history of the realms, as well as any new ones that appear on an ongoing basis. Now, after a lifetime of work, Benvolio and the monks of Candlekeep have granted you access to this encyclopedic tome of nomenclature!

Names For Tendays contains over 8,000 names for PCs, NPCs, Ships, Inns, Cities, and Dungeons for use in your Forgotten Realms or other D&D campaign setting. Never agonize over what to name your character, BBEG, Tavern, or Evil Twin Sibling ever again. Invaluable to players and DMs alike. This PDF is completely hyperlinked and bookmarked to make searches and navigation extremely easy.

B. Wraven Wright has ghostwritten over 100 OGL D20 adventures and supplements for publishers large and small and also acted as a Slot 0 (beta tester) on over three dozen adventures for Living Forgotten Realms, the organized game play platform that was sanctioned by Wizards Of The Coast for Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition. He also created 2Die10 Games imprint and successfully used Kickstarter to publish his own game and setting, Excelsior.

I absolutely love this. I only have one small issue with it. It appears that the first pages of names is missing. They start on page 3 like the table of contents says they are supposed to, but it appears that all the names before Alrette are missing. So we are missing names like Aaerie, Abbott, Abracus, Achiles, etc....

I would really like to see the missing names.

Thanks for your feedback, Forrest. The letter 'A' section of names is not incomplete and published as intended.

So all the names starting with Aa to Al were purposely left off or am I missing something? Seems an entire page or two of names would come before Alrette.

I second the request for a printer-friendly version, or at least enable layers so we can turn off the background before printing.

Also, the Names Of Ships,Inns, and other “locales”... section has no bookmark.

Thanks!

I thought the publisher was willingly removing titles and reuploading them under a different URL to erase bad reviews or critical comments. After talking with a DrivethruRPG representative, I understand it was an honest mistake on their part.

For the love of Tyr, PLEASE provide a printer friendly version too... the "weathered paper" background may look cool, but you cannot print them like this.

This is great! Any chance you could make a printer friendly or Excel friendly version?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
