Introduction: This is the second module in a series that follows up on furthering the adventure from the starter set Lost Mines of Phandelver.  This module contains two mini locations fit for exploration and brings characters further towards the climax brewing in the Sword Mountains.  The first is a rescue mission of a noble from Waterdeep who has been captured while on adventure.  The other is the threat from a chimera and her kobold horde.  The region of Kryptgarden Forest and the Sword Mountains lies north of Waterdeep and south of Neverwinter along the Sword Coast.  This is a stand alone adventure that can be easily modified to change location in order to suit your campaign.  It also includes a few new monsters modified from previous editions, including the attack drake and kobold wyrmpriest.

This is a 16 page adventure with a mostly straightforward layout consisting of several combat encounters mixed with investigation and npc interaction.

I am in the middle of running this after already running LMoP and Southcrypt Pass. The players are really enjoying the Southcrypt series and find it challenging. As a DM I find the series easy enough to prepare without having to overly improvise before or during game play. I also like that it gives me more than enough to make this part of a working campaign but with enough flexibility to customize it the way I feel works best for me and the players.

Thank you for the kind words. Right now I'm working on a module that takes place several months after the LMoP adventure. I contains several changes to the town and a few side quests before a large adventure with kuo-toa and the large underground lake inside the mines. I'm playtesting it with my main group, but not sure when it will be ready. I may break it it into 2 parts since it is 40something pages right now.

First, just wanted to say, keep up the great work, loved the first one, and will be using this one and the next one as well. This is a pretty minor point, but on pg.5 the text in the Treasure section cuts off, just curious what that was supposed to say?

This is what it should say, thanks for the kind words. I'm not sure when I will get to updating the PDF.

Treasure: One of the ghasts wears a ring of resistance (cold). Also hidden in the base of a statue is small box containing a 50gp and a silver ring worth 25gp. To find the hidden cache PCs need to make an Intelligence check (Investigation DC15).

Thank you for your comments and enjoying the adventures. I had run several Westbridge adventures before the party decided to come to Leilon. There was the threat of the ancient green dragon, but one of its minions was the main threat. I had a warlock medusa that wears a golden mask to hide her powers lead an army of goblins and hobgoblins. I'm not sure how much of that I will publish since my recent focus has been the Leilon supplements.

Loved the Lost Mines campaign, and I'm currently running the Southcrypt combo and have the Leilon campaign ready to print when necessary. I was curious if you had started working on the Westbridge Campaign as I would love to continue just working in this area of Sword Coast

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
