About the Author

Tony has been a gamer for two centuries and counting. He was hooked the moment he set foot in Quasqueton while In Search of the Unknown.

He started DMing last millennium at the beginning of a magical age known as the 80's and has been challenging players ever since. To his astonishment and great pleasure several players have been with him since he first got behind the DM screen.

Tony's going to stop talking about himself in third person now, cuz – its weird.

I sure hope you enjoy these dragons. Let me know what you think, share some war stories in the comments, (especially if you have a group tackle the Great Wyrm Red!) and I'll have more for you soon!

In the official MM it has the ancient blue dragon having a 10ft wide lightning breath. Your Old Wyrm & Great Old Wyrm have it back to 5ft wide. Also, the blue dragon breath weapon is xd10 but again the two oldest jump it to xd12. Is that correct or should it be d10?

Good catch on the width of the Wyrm and Great Wyrm Blue Dragons - should be 10 foot wide.

But the higher damage die type was intentional. Bigger and badder breath for the old ones.

Very nice collection. Couple of typos you could check:
- Young Adult Black: either d12 hit dice or size large? What is it?
- Young Adult Black: Burrow speed?
- Old Blue: Wing Attack DC is a bit high?

Thanks Olav and good catches! Young Adult is large, so should be d10 and burrow? OOOPS! As for the wing attack DC of 222 - I thought they said 5e was based on UNbounded accuracy. :) Will edit and re-up asap - which probably means after the day job tonight.

I'm kind of confused about what a dragon has to do with Curse of Strahd. I get why pushing it to the most recent adventure module makes sense for a marketing reason but it seems disingenuous.

Yeah I concur. I was quite surprised to come back after an evening with my family and see where this had ended up on the hottest Curse of Strahd tracker - I've undone the Curse of Strahd tag, so hopefully that tracker resets itself appropriately soon. My apologies - and lemme get out of the way of the proper gothic horrors that belong in Barovia!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
