Epic Characters

This 68-page handbook contains progression from 20th to 30th level for all character options found in the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica, and Eberron: Rising from the Last War. It also includes epic racial bonuses for all races found in the aforementioned titles, in addition to those found in Elemental Evil Player's Companion, Volo's Guide to Monsters, the Tortle Package, Locathah Rising, and Acquisitions Incorporated.

Lastly, several of Matthew Mercer's character options, such as the Blood Hunter class (2020), the College of the Maestro, the Gunslinger martial archetype, and the Totem of the Duck, have also received epic progression.

Please leave a review after purchase, so we know what you like and/or dislike. It'll help with future iterations of Epic Characters, as well as with the other products we have in the works.

Help
  • We are always working on new material, either exploring the planes, bringing new monsters to life, shaping new subclasses, and more.
  • We need your help to ensure that everything we create fits into the fifth edition D&D tapestry, both from a balance and storytelling perspective.
  • You can help us by simply rating this title or, especially, by giving it a review pointing out what works and wht doesn't - it helps us out a lot.

Does the book contain any guidance for a DM who wants to make their own epic character options (e.g. for subclasses that aren't in the book)?

Question regarding the Druid's Elder Spell.
Do you choose a spell you currently have prepared, or does the Elder Spell not count towards the spells you have prepared?
Considering it's a spell with range "self" and you can effectively have it constantly active ("reactivating" it as a bonus action if it gets dispelled), then there doesn't seem much point to have it prepared if you don't have to.

Would defintely buy, but before I do that, does this material have content for the Order of Scribes subclass?

No further updates for this title? I would echo other comments--would love to see updates for the Tasha's and Fizban's subclasses.

This is a great title, giving high level characters things to grow and look forward to after 20th level. Really enjoy the content.

Really good title. Any idea if and when an update from Tasha's subclasses are coming?

Would buy a physical copy, but my current PC has a Genie Patron Warlock.

Some of the older subclasses were never added. Just curious if there was a specific reason to stop those and off an update might be coming to address any of these.

What happened to the older (nicer) cover that would’ve matched my other D&D books?

Just came to say: I still love this product, but when can we expect updates to account for both the subclasses featured in Tasha's, but also the optional class features... like those for the Ranger?

hey, so I Duded the book in a dodgy way, loved it and will def get the hardcover during my next buying spree. (I do that, "preview" stuff and end up ordering most of it, leaving on the the cack and chunder aside)

That said, why the cover change? It's not a deal breaker, but the "matching obsessive" part of me.... you get the picture. I'm just curious is all.

Have a wonderful day/weekend, and see you on the other side.

oh, please bring back Heroes of the "Far East", as I'd love a chance at a physical copy.

cheers

I'm having trouble figuring out what exactly the sorcerer's Intensify Spell affects. Is it any numeric part of a spell? Just for instance, a spell I was trying to figure out the intensified version of was Haste; what would Intense Haste look like?

Also, are the Chronurgy and Graviturgy subclasses making a comeback - possibly in whatever update or separate book comes with the Tasha's Cauldron subclasses?

Heroes of the Orient, a really good - bestselling - supplement by the same author which was not only abandoned but removed from sale alongside its bestiary Monsters of the Orient.

Love what is currently there - I am wondering if you will be continuing to update this as more subclasses come out, and if you'll be updating with the newest ones.

Hey, I'm curious what the purpose of the 10th, 11th, and 12th level spell slots are? The book doesn't seem to provide any 10th, 11th, and 12th level spells - are these effectively extra 9th level slots? 9th level spells don't have rules for casting them at higher levels than usual. Will future sourcebooks provide 10th, 11th, and 12th level spells?

The idea is to upcast lower-level spells that have benefits when cast at a higher level. e.g. a 12th-level Fireball and the like.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
