I can't seem to get this to work with Fantasy Grounds Unity. I followed the directions, but it's still not working.

Rob, I love your content, Amazing work as always, question, do you have any plans on creating content like this for Foundry VTT?

DMs Guild doesn't allow content for Foundry VTT. Also, I am biased toward FG anyway. :)

Does this apply any type of effects/bonuses automatically?

Robert:

Actually no (not yet). I AM updating the "Conditions & Effects" module soon(tm) to include all effects needed for this and the Wild Magic tables. So when I complete that, you will be able to have all automation. You would need to own both modules of course. The tables, and the effects. It didn't make sense to put only effects in the tables when I already have the effects module and can just add to it.

I really like this module. One of the things that I always have done in my games is going back to my Pathfinder days where you confirm the roll.

So it basically works like this:
Crit Success/Failure - Second roll is another attack roll

Results:
Crit - Second roll is also a hit: Crit damage + Crit effect
Crit - Second roll is a miss: Crit damage, but no Crit effect
Crit Fail - Second roll is also a hit: Just a horrible miss.
Crit Fail - Second roll is also a miss: Horrible Miss + Crit Failure effect

You'll notice there are about 10 "bads" of 200 on the CRIT table and 10 "goods" of 200 on the FUMBLE tables. It makes for more variety and fun.

I really like the versatility of this table. Great job. My players and I both really like it. Suggestion/wish list: I do not know if its possible to code but, FG used to automatically roll double damage for critical hits and now it either says [CRITICAL HIT] and no longer auto rolls, or [TABLE] Critical Hit and then rolls on that great table you have made. I would love to have the best of both worlds and have it auto roll critical hits when it doesn't reference your tables. ps: If not possible to code, we will pick your tables and manualiy roll double damage. Thanks: Jim S

These tables are a lot of fun, Rob! I've been enjoying penciling in narrative explanations for the more outlandish results. Number 86 on the Crit table for instance, I'm treating as an upward moving attack that knocks the opponent high into the air. They will definitely add a bit of a cinematic element to my campaign. Thanks for posting this!

I didn't get it yet, and I want to test your FG module before.
But one thing that got my attention was when I zoomed the cape, the 41 result, isn't to much OP? I mean in a boss fight with CR 30 (like Tiamat, or Demons Princes) the wizard do a crit with a cantrip and roll this effect... no test at all? I would suggest to change to something like: "...reduce creature to 0 HP if it have CR lower than your level, if not, it must make a DC X CON saving throw. On a failed save... continues..."

Matheus F.:

I see your point, however a couple things...

First, in Fantasy Grounds, the table is only triggered 2/3 of the time, and then there's only a 1% chance that will happen. So OP maybe, but the table is designed to introduce elements of the game that are not normal (and sometimes very exciting or extreme).

Secondly, I did put a note saying "Adjust accordingly", so if in your campaign, a 1st level Wizard kills Tiamat, well, you might change that sure. LOL!

I may incorporate your idea into the next version after more play testing.

ThanX! Hope you enjoy...

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
