5 Minute Workday Presents: Traps

Every good dungeon needs traps, right? And one never has enough traps. Just like monsters, you always need more.
This product contains nineteen new traps to challenge your players with in your 5th Edition game, both classical in design but also new and surprising.

Squish adventurers between crushing walls, drop them into pits of acid, catch them in a chamber filling with sand, explode them in pockets of gas, strike them with poison darts, and many more!

Hi there David! This is Sean from the YouTube channel, Home Brew Crew!

We recently did a video reviewing your content on homebrew traps in one of our videos. We wanted to share it with the community and show how awesome it is! You can check it out below!

We are always on the hunt for good home brew content that is balanced and adds more to the game, and yours did just that! Thank you for your creation, David!

These are great! I was just looking through them again just now and thought it would be nice to have an index or list at the front so I can quickly see what traps are in the supplement-inside of having to scroll through them all to look for ideas. Just an idea.

A well-presented good selection of Traps that doesn't require Adobe to read the PDF. Just what I need to fill in a glaring hole in the DMG - and for my own DM Folder. One suggestion for improving it further would be to have XP values given for successfully overcoming each trap (and how to work that out is not clear in the DMG either!). Otherwise, highly recommended.

Thank you.
I've considered xp values or some kind of challenge system, but in the end I opted to just match the DM style.
But a sidebar with experience rewards and rough danger level might be appropriate. I'll have to look into that.

Hey, just a word from the wise you may not want to have your whole product viewable in the preview. People can download that file without having to purchase your very well done content.

Thanks, that was on purpose.
The big complaint regarding paid vs Pay What You Want is you don't know what you're getting with the former. I wanted to remove that variable. You know exactly what you want, and can choose to pay if you so wish.

Weird. That sounds like a server side issue. But I'll upload the file again anyway just to be safe. Thanks for letting me know!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
