Check out Volume 1 here:  /product/174973/DD-5e--Expanded-Armory-and-Gear

Updated:  Added monk weapon classification to the kunai.  Added Strength requirement of 15 and Stealth disadvantage to the Aspis.

Updated:  Changed the wording to "attacking with" instead of "wielding" as it pertains to disarming/knocking prone attack.  Changed a minor typo.  Added the Slingshot text for ammo used.

Updated:  Added the Two-Handed propety to the Ring Blade.  Was intended to be that way from the start.

I absolutely love all of these concepts and rules but I have some questions and comments on the tower shield that might also apply to the Aspis.
First, does it take any type of action to stop hiding?
Second, can you make all of your attacks(extra and bonus) and then hide in the same turn?
Third, does the cover from both shields apply to every attack coming at you or only from one direction? The way it's worded makes it seem like the effect of the cover applies to every attack even though cover usually only applies in a certain direction or area.
Fourth, it seems a little op because you can completely and entirely block all non-aoe damage (which is a fairly uncommon type of damage for monsters) yet still deal damage yourself making you unkillable to most enemies while still being able to kill them. And if you somehow get your spellcaster to strength 18, they still have all their normal attack power while being nearly unkillable. I think something like only being able to use abilities...See more

I need to revisit this document. It has been a while and I have been very busy with life stuff. I will take a look at what you are saying in a couple of weeks after my new campaign starts up.

What was the thought process on the Falchion, seems like with no special property I would rather pick up a great sword. In 3.5 it was 2d4 but a crit on 18-20 which balanced it out.

The whole idea of the falchion being a giant two-handed scimitar thing is ludicrous. They were one-handed chopping swords. If anything they should just use longsword stats minus the versatile property. 1st and 2nd Editions got it right. I really wish they had never called their two-handed scimitar thing for 3rd Edition a falchion, because now the weapon will forever be mixed up for so many people who will continue to think of the falchion as a giant two-handed scimitar abomination because their only knowledge of medieval weaponry comes from D&D. If you really need a two-handed scimitar, *just call it that* and be done with it, but please people, quit twisting the poor falchion into something it is not.

At least they fixed longswords in 5E.

For the wrist buckler, rather than having that and a weapon, I thing giving it a damage die, either 1d4 or 1d6, makes sense. If you've seen examples of buckler combat, you'd know that it was used as a blunt weapon quite frequently.

Hey i was looking through the weapons and i have a question about the Ring Blade. As it is written it is a one handed 1d10 slashing weapon with finesse that can be thrown. Is it supposed to have the two-handed rule or am i missing something as it seems too powerful as it is now.

Hey Jason, Someone named Falselight made a mod of your first expanded armory for the VTT Fantasy Grounds. I wasn't sure if he got permission. I fixed some errors in it, added your volume 2 as well, and gave you credit as the original author. Is this okay with you? I love your extra weapons that adds so many more options to my games. Thank you!

I assume when the Tower Shield says that you gain total cover, does this just mean against ranged attacks, or does that mean that you are immune to melee weapons too? Three quarters cover makes more sense, unless you make a shield wall, because your feet are still visible. Though maybe that is what you are going for with the special ability, though if so you'd be unable to move.

Also, it weighs way too much, typical Roman tower shields only weighed around 22 pounds. In addition, the strength requirement is higher than plate armor, are you saying the thousands of Romans legionaries all had over 18 strength, or could only walk 5ft. every six seconds while holding a shield up?

Also, it is impossible to make attacks with certain weapons while holding up a tower shield, like a dagger. Maybe change the only one attack, to the more realistic requirement of only being able to attack with a long piercing weapon, like a spear, javelin, halberd, pike, trident, or harpoon.

Forcing them to attack with a light weapon or a spear would make sense. To your other points, half speed is usually 15 feet for most races, not 5. And Romans didn't fight dragons either, so I'm not sure that pushing that comparison makes sense. If you think the extra weight is unbalanced, it's basically a +2 shield which is a high level magic item, so I don't know. It's probably too powerful as is.

I'm thinking Tower Shield should be no movement allowed if you're using it for total cover. Speaking of, what kind of action (if any) is it to "hide" behind the shields? Wrist Buckler-- Are you saying you can wield a light weapon and use it in combat with the buckler also granting the ac bonus? Needs clarification.

Also a lot of the Special Weapons have a "when wielding this weapon" rider when they should actually read "when attacking with this weapon." Otherwise I could just have it in one hand and be doing something with the other hand (like a grapple or shove) and because I'm wielding the "special" I'm gaining advantage or inflicting disadvantage on a non-special-relevant action.

And at the end of my first glance, it looks like all your weapons reading "You can treat this weapon as if you are dual wielding and apply any relevant feats why wielding this weapon" have the same typo, "why" should be "when"

I put a bonus action for the hiding. I don't really think removing total movement is needed. You already lose half movement and all of your extra attacks.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
