Primate Race options D&D 5e

This is a racial option I made so that one of my players could play a monkey type of character. It's still in the early phases and doesn't yet have any artwork included, but I plan to update it as the class get's revised. Your input and and thoughts on the race's mechanics would be greatly appreciated! Some of them I am unsure about but, for obvious reasons, I can't test to see how much they synergize or clash with the different classes. I appreciate your interest and any advise you may offer!

Cover photo not my own property and is sourced from: https://images.fineartamerica.com/images/artworkimages/mediumlarge/1/evil-monkey-nicklas-gustafsson.jpg

Edit:
-The name for the primate god featured has been included to indicate the two names from Japanese and Chinese culture for their respective versions of the same myth.
-The subraces have been adjusted to include magic-based features to more closely align them with their fey origins.

A special word on this work. Not only was it balanced and lovingly crafted by a brilliant young man that I was happy to call my friend, it was played well for a one-shot and would be a great addition for any one's campaign to have. My character will always miss his best friend Sam the Pugilist gorilla.

Nate passed away on February 4 2018, early in the morning. He was happy to have gotten great feedback here and on Facebook and Twitter from people who read his homebrews, and pleased that anyone would purchase them when they didn't have to. I would hope these stick around for a long time here, and that his hard work and labors of love are enjoyed by and inspiring to other homebrewers.

Much love,
Charlie

A homebrew he had just finished, but didn't get a chance to publish here. He was very proud of it: http://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/ByWdkLpUUM

Not sure if this was intentional, but I wanted to say that the monkey god should be Sun Wukong, not Goku. Otherwise, I love this race and will be implementing it into my own game.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
