City Guide: Mulmaster

ADD TO WISHLIST >
Suggested Price $0.00

Inside this supplement you will find some campaign setting information regarding the status of the City of Danger since the Devastation occurred. The Devastation - the aftermath of the original few runnings of DDEP Mulmaster Undone - is widespread and the city must now not only discover their identity in these uncertain times but also how best they can begin to rebuild.

WE DO NOT EXPECT YOU TO PAY FOR THIS SUPPLEMENT.

***ALL*** PROFITS FROM THIS SUPPLEMENT WILL BE CYCLED INTO SOFTWARE AND EDUCATIONAL NEEDS FOR THE STAFF.

Adding this item as a "Pay What You Want" option has been debated internally for some time now, and the core reason that we are doing this is because some of the players across the world have asked how they can reward their coordinators. Again, we do not expect anyone to pay for this supplement but we humbly request that you download it and use it in your games anyhow! The funds earned from this product will be used for mapping software, artwork, and additional development and tools as-needed down the road.

Indeed, Mulmaster is Undone (article on the AL website detailing the events that caused this supplement to be written)

Mulmaster has become the site of of much adventure - and danger! - ever since the events in the bundle above. Conventions can contact the admin staff and request permission to write Custom Convention Content (CCC) for their shows using locations around the Moonsea, and Mulmaster is no exception! Please note that CCC adventures are not generally considered canon for Adventurers League content and some differences may exist between adventures marked "CCC" and those marked "DDAL", "DDEX", or any other official notation.

PURCHASER
I really appreciate this guide and the effort that went into it, but I have a minor gripe. I haven' t read through the document but only glanced at it so far, but I did look at the maps and if you are running your players through Mulmaster the map is useless.

Imagine you player characters have just entered Mulmaster. You whip out the map from here. In big bold letters it says Mulmaste: pre-Devastation.. Its the first think I saw, and you cannot miss it. My players will be like "Uh... maybe we should leave" Why would you want that on the map if your in the adventures before it was devastated? Can the author/cartographer take that off the "Pre" map? The post map it makes no difference.

The events of the Epic (Devastation) are part of the ongoing narrative now. The map was constructed this way to make it clear to future players. You can certainly open the file and edit out that section, though; the map images are fairly large (like 6000x3200 pixels, I believe).

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
